Ciara! What Are U Doing BUTT-NAKED On Vibe, Girl?

Yesterday(09-20-08), while making my way to the checkout counter at a Publix store, I glanced to my right to look at the magazines on the magazine rack, like I usually do. Low-and-behold, to my surprised, I see Ciara's naked derriere(French for butt) on the cover of Vibe magazine.I was completely SHOCKED! Yet, I always knew Ciara wasn't going to stay innocent for long in this industry, they hardly do; look at Britney Spears. Nevertheless, giving her the benefit-of-the-doubt, Ciara is claiming she took those pictures in her pantie and that Vibe digitally removed it AFTER the pictures were taken. I doubt it! Judging(I know, "I shouldn't judge") by some of her songs and videos, in terms of her real personality, I say we are seeing the TRUE Ciara.

Still, I'm going to be an optimist here and say maybe this is Ciara's way of saying she is spiritually naked...maybe this is a metaphor to say that she needs Jesus in her life. Because I know without Jesus we are all spiritually BUTT-NAKED. And I know he is ready to give us, "...white clothes to wear..." to cover our butt-nakedness for that great Day.

Well,if this the case, then Ciara this what you have to do homegirl:
Believe that Jesus died on the cross for you sins, rose from the dead on the third day,is now seated at the right-hand of his father (ruling and reigning the Earth), and confess with your mouth that he is Lord. Trust me, you will be among those who receives "...white clothes to wear..." girl and here is a bonus... (whispering) you will gain immortality.

I hope this blog reaches you!!

Textbooks Rentals=Saving Money & Planting a Tree!

Last night I was frantically surfing the web and trying to find an online website or those webistes which promises you a discount on your textbooks. I, like every other college student, despise paying these high-fees textbooks. Especially, when you know when you try to sell it back to them( the colleges & universities) all you get is a small fraction of what you actually paid. Nonetheless, my search was not in vain. The old addage is true, "...seek and you wil find." And I did find!

I have to pause a minute and admit that out of all the sites I saw and visited, this was the only site I saw doing this: Renting Textbooks. Up to that point, I have never heard nor seen such a thing. I have heard of rental cars and Rent-a-Center but not renting textbooks. However, what make this website unique is not the concept of renting your textbooks. The uniqueness is twofold:

1) You actually save a significant amount of money on your textbooks:

Ex.:
I paid $60 for a $125 textbook I would have paid, full price, at my university's book store.

2) The website is "Eco-Friendly":

Ex:
For every textbook a student rents out for his/her semester, a tree is planted on his/her
behalf in an effort to save our forests, worldwide, and reduce the breakdown of our
atmosphere from the hazardous methane found in our landfills from papers; mostly being made up of textbooks papers.

Finally, I hope anyone and everyone who reads this blog and goes to college or a universtity will take this fact into consideration and do their part; howbeit small, to get his/her education, to not just save money on textbooks but, and most importantly, to save our Planet Earth.

Rent Textbooks=Saving 60-80% & Planting A Tree!

Scientists confirms that we all came from Africa!

-Excerpts taken from original written work by Maggie Fox; Health and Science Editor: Wed Feb. 20, 7:45 PM ET

Its Official!

Scientists, through two big genetic studieds
found that all human beings came from Africa.
Nope, that is not a typo. You read it right.
Scientists have discovered that we all, indeed,
came from Africa.
For years we all have heard that"...everybody comes
Africa." Yet, up to this point, the saying was never
proven by science to be true. Until now.

According to studies published in the Nature journal,
"...modern humans evolved in Africa and then migrated
through Europe and Asia to reach the Pacific and Americas."
The journal also went on to say that,"...a population of humans..."
migrated from the African continent and because of an,"...unknown
adversity"
shrinked significantly in size.
If you believe like I do,
can we all say it together; THE FLOOD!. Okay, thank you.
Moving on, according to the findings, other populations of people
grew from this,"...smaller genetic pool of founder ancestors..." who spread across the continents & islands; specifically, "...the Middler East, followed by Europe and Asia, the Pacific islands and finally to the Americas."

In conclusion, I for one believe that this story could not have come at
a better time. As with my article "The Slave Did Not Have a White-Man Problem in America!", this finding proves that we are all ONE
race of people; coming from the same genetic pool of founder ancestors.

The Slaves Didn't Have a White-Man Problem in America!

Every year during the month of February America celebrates
the memory and accomplishments of African slaves and their
scions who, for centuries, endured the barbarism of American
slavery. Amongst our most well-known African heroes and
heroines are the likes of Frederick Douglass, Sojourner Truth,
George Washington Carver, and Ida B. Wells Barnet. However,
there are others, not of African descent, who are hardly talked
about or are even recognized for their fight, effort, and outright
bravery against such a barbaric system.

Others like:

I.

William Lloyd Garrison , an editor
from Massachusetts, at 24 years-old
came to the conclusion that slavery
in America must end, NOW!
In 1833, 3 years later, he, along with
others of the same mind, founded
the American Anti-Slavery Society.
A society which had a membership
of nearly 250,000 people. This society
became the First to have men, women, and ex-slaves, together, playing an active
role in the fight to end slavery. They were relentless, radical, and,
at times, down-right rude about it!
Nevertheless, his greatest accomplishment came in 1855 when he,
along with his colleagues, convinced the state of Massachusetts to
desegregate public schools and public transportation; a foreshadow
of what was to come a century later in the civil rights movement
under the leadership of Martin Luther King.

II.

Maria Watson Chapman, was one of the
12 founders of the Boston Female Anti
Slavery Society. In 1835, during one
of the society's normal meetings, an
angry pro-slavery mob surrounded the
place they were meeting being conducted.
Chapman immediately sprung into action
by having the members, each one, grab each others arm, especially that of a
colored person, and in a group of twos lead her members through the crowd,
to her home, and she continued on with the meeting.
Chapman is recorded as saying,
"When we emerged into the open daylight there went up a roar of rage and contempt, which increased when they saw that we did not intend to separate."

III.

John Brown, a full-time worker
of emancipation, infamous for the Pottowatomie Massacre on May 24, 1856 in Kansas and the Capture of Harpes Ferry (the U.S. government's armory) on October 16,1856 in Virginia.
In the Pottowatomie Massacre of 1856, Brown and his men, brutally and savagely, killed 5 men who were known to be proponents of slavery in the state of Kansas.
The Siege of Harpers Ferry in 1859, in Brown's mind, was going to
be the means to start a slave revolution; a campaign to liberate
all of the slaves across America. Unfortunately, it did not go
that way for the "Old Man"; as he was called. Two days after he
captured Harpers Ferry, the U.S. Marines regained control of the
armory, ten days later he was tried and found guilty, and, no sooner
after his conviction, was hung from a gallows. John Brown achieved
martyrdom for his passion of seeing the slaves gain their freedom at
whatever cost necessary.

In conclusion,

William Lloyd Garrison , Maria Watson Chapman, and John Brown,
and others like them (colored or not) played a faithful and important
role in seeing that slavery would be a thing of the past in America.
They are part of our heroes and heroines of which their memories
and accomplishments should also be celebrated during the month of February.
And because of the spirit of unity and equality which they
showed toward their fellow brothers & sisters in slavery,
then I hope and pray that one day we will celebrate
the month of February, not as "Black History Month",
but as "Black & White History Month".

2-12-2013-UPDATED

In celebrating Black History in America, for this Black History Month in the 21st century, let us remember the whites who, in the 20th century, in the 1960s, stood together with the "negroes" in the face of severe racism and segregation; fighting racism and segregation  in a very peaceful, selfless, and effective way. Let us take a monemt to remember those black & white individuals, young and old, who stood  together and said enough is enough. Either we all live together as free people or whe will die together fighting for freedom. Let us remember the Freedom Riders!

"Stop Blaming Homosexuals"

A lot of evangelical Christians and their leaders
like to say that America, spiritually, is in the
dark. Yet, the reasons given for such a statement,
I've noticed, always have one unchanging, pervasive, common
denominator; homosexuals.

In other words, the homosexual are the ones causing God to be
angry with America. The reason, because God destroyed Sodom &
Gomorrah due to homosexual behaviors among its people
thousands of years ago.

However, can the homosexuals really be blamed
for America being so dark?

Remember, God did not destroy Sodom & Gomorrah
because of the homosexuals. No,no,no. He said,
If I find ten righteous I will
not destroy for the ten's sake.

In other words, for 10 righteous people I will
not destroy hundreds of homosexuals.
Hmmmm! Did you get that?

You see, the problem God had with Sodom & Gomorrha
was not mainly homosexuals, though he strictly forbids it,
...a man lying with a man as though with a woman

No! His main problem was with the righteous.

The man who said,
You are the light of the world...

was talking to righteous people.

Therefore, if the righteous is the light of the world and
the evangelical Christian represent the righteous people of
God, through Jesus, then who is really to be blamed for
the darkness in America?

Have a clue?

"Stop Blaming Homosexuals!"

A lot of us evangelical christians and our leaders
like to say that America, spiritually, is in the
dark. Yet, the given reason for that statement,
I've noticed, always seems to have this pervasive
common denominator underneath; homosexuals.

I mean, can the homosexuals really be blamed for
America being in the dark? If we say, "yes!"
Will we be right? And if our answer is again a
resounding, "yes!" then I say we evangelical
christians, along with our leaders, are in
serious trouble.

Remember, God did not destroy Sodom & Gomorrah
because of the homosexuals. No,no,no. He said,
If I find ten righteous I will
not destroy for the ten's sake.
In other
words, for 10 righteous people I will not destroy

No! His problem was, the righteous.

The man who said these words was talking to the righteous
.
In conclusion, if America is darklight
has gotten, unfortunately, dark!

Have any clue as to when & how?

Your Handbags Can Make You Sick If You Are Not Careful Ladies!

Note: A female friend of mine send me this email & I
decided to blog it as a Public Service Announcement
to all women who have handbags.
******************************************************

I never gave it a thought. Who would have thought?

Have you ever noticed girls who sit their handbags on
public toilet floors then go directly to their dining
tables and set it on the table? Happens a lot! It's not
always the 'restaurant food' that causes stomach distress.
Sometimes 'what you don't know 'will' hurt you'!

Read on...

Mom got so upset when guests came in the door and plopped
their handbags down on the counter where she was cooking or
setting up food. She always said that handbags are really dirty,
because of where they have been. Smart mom! It's something just
about every woman carries with them. While we may know what's
inside our handbags, do you have any idea what's on the outside?

THE TEST:

Shauna Lake put handbags to the test - for bacteria - with surprising
results. You may think twice about where you put your handbag.
Women carry handbags everywhere; from the office to public toilets
to the floor of the car. Most women won't be caught without
their handbags, but did you ever stop to think about where
your handbag goes during the day?

"I drive a school bus, so my handbag has been on the floor of the
bus alot," says one woman. "On the floor of my car, and in toilets."
"I put my handbag in grocery shopping carts, on the floor
of the toilet while changing a nappy," says another woman,
"and of course in my home which should be clean."

We decided to find out if handbags harbor a lot of bacteria.
We learned how to test them at Nelson Laboratories in Salt Lake,
and then we set out to test the average woman's handbag.

Most women told us they didn't stop to think about what was on
the bottom of their handbag. Most said at home they usually set
their handbags on top of kitchen tables and counters where food
is prepared.

Most of the ladies we talked to told us they wouldn't be surprised
if their handbags were at least a little bit dirty. It turns out
handbags are so surprisingly dirty, even the microbiologist who
tested them was shocked.

Microbiologist Amy Karen of Nelson Labs says nearly all of the
handbags tested were not only high in bacteria, but high in
harmful kinds of bacteria.

Pseudomonas can cause eye infections, staphylococcus aurous
can cause serious skin infections, and salmonella and e-coli
found on the handbags could make people very sick.

In one sampling, four of five handbag tested positive
for salmonella, and that's not the worst of it.
"There is fecal contamination on the handbags,"
says Amy.

Leather or vinyl handbags tended to be cleaner than
cloth handbags, and lifestyle seemed to play a role.
People with kids tended to have dirtier handbags
than those without, with one exception.

The handbag of one single woman who frequented
nightclubs had one of the worst condemnations of all.

"Some type of feces, or possibly vomit" says Amy.

So the moral of this story - your handbag won't kill you,
but it does have the potential to make you very sick if you
keep it on places where you eat.

Use hooks to hang your handbag at home and in toilets,
and don't put it on your desk, a restaurant table, or on
your kitchen counter top.

Experts say you should think of your handbag the same way
you would a pair of shoes.

"If you think about putting a pair of shoes onto your
counter tops, that's the same thing you 're doing when
you put your handbag on the counter tops - your handbag
has gone where individuals before you have sneezed,
coughed, spat, urinated, emptied bowels, etc! Do you
really want to bring that home with you?"

The microbiologists at Nelson also said cleaning a
handbag will help.

STEPS TO KEEP YOUR HANDBAGS CLEAN:

Wash cloth handbags and use leather cleaner to clean
the bottom of leather handbags.

THIS IS WORTH SHARING!!!

**WOMEN PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO YOUR
GIRLFRIENDS, SISTERS, NIECES, COUSINS, & DAUGHTERS!
